Story

If you want to know the story first, it can be narrated in two sentences. A student leader by name Siddharth (Mahesh) lunches a tirade against the present day politicians and demands that the nation should be handed over to the youth, who will sure cleanse it of all sorts of corruption and Rowdism and gonads and give people clean administration. For that purpose he kidnaps the bride Varalakshmi (Trisha) who was about to be married to the Home minister, Pappu Yadav, and blackmails the minister to undo all the wrongs he has done to his people if he wanted his bride back.

Higlights

>Harris Jayaraj music was rocking,especially Go Go Go & Vorugalluke songs are excellent.

Ntr became Tollywood Highest Paid

It's a well known fact that the salaries of the top stars in telugu cinema, match their Bollywood counterparts. At present, Hrithik has signed Relaince 3 projects for a handsome amount of 36 crores(12 crores each).Now it is known that Relaince is paying a huge amount of 8 crores to Jr NTR for the movie Yama Donga.And the budget of the movie is turns more than 30 crores.The movie is shaped out with good techniqual aspects.This amount to a hero is showing the stamina of Tollywood which is equalent to Bollywood.

Allu Arjun maybe Kantri!!!

Meher Ramesh, Puri Jagannadh’s chief script consultant, who has co written the script for the Mahesh Babu- Ileana starrer Pokiri directed by Puri Jagannadh, will be debuting as a director in the Telugu Film industry. Meher, who acted as Mahesh Babu’s friend in the ill fated Bobby, has already directed two Kannada movies Veera Kannadiga and Ajay, (both remakes of Andhrudu and Okkadu, respectively) will be directing his first Telugu movie, titled Kantri, produced by Puri Jagannadh’s Vaishno Academy. Hero Allu Arjun is apparently being considered for the lead role. Kantri is still in the scripting stage and will be launched in January.

Amitabh Bachchan creates Guinness Record

There are instances where stars take almost an entire day to get a shot or two right. But, the superstar is made of different stuff. In five hours, he managed to get 23 scenes okayed. That performance also has earned him a place in the Guinness Books of World Records. Director Apoorva Lahia's 'Shootout at Lokhandwala' is the film that earned the Superstar a coveted spot in the Guinness Books. He also is setting aside lot of time for his new film, 'Ramgopal Varma Ka Sholay'. In spite of a huge cast of stars, he is going to be the center of attention of director/producer Ramgopal Varma.

Bhaskar to direct Jr.Nag!!!

A new talent came to limelight with the success of "Bommarillu" as director Bhaskar. The movie celebrated 100 days at Dubai, Sydney and Melbourne. ´Dil´ Raju is planning another movie with Bhaskar. This movie would go to floors in June, 2007. On the other hand Nagarjuna is planning to introduce his son Naga Chaitanya to Telugu screen. His boy is training up in the supervision of Tabu, at a film institute in Mumbai. Nag is keen on Bhaskar´s direction for his son´s movie which, would be launched after Dil Raju-Bhaskar´s movie.

During a recent fund raising event, Balakrishna inaugurated the website www.nbkkidfans.com, a special portal for the kids who are ardant fans of Balakrishna. This happened during the Ninth Annual fund raising dinner in support of Nandamuri Basavatarakam Cancer hospital held at Akbar Restaurant NY USA on 18th November, 2006. Balakrishna is the chief guest for this event. NBKKidFans and NRI Chitram (distributors of Maharadhi in USA) donated $1116 towards the noble cause.Tulasi Polavarapu, president of this institute, and Balakrishna thanked all the donors for their generous contributions.

Vidya Balan to star in Shankardada2

The second installment of Shankardada, again to star Chiranjeevi in the lead, has been named as Shankardada Zindabad. Word, till now, was that Prabhu Deva has been roped in direct this comedy flick which will be the remake of the hit Sanjay Dutt starrer Hindi movie Lage Raho Munna Bhai. Apparently Vidya Balan , who played the lead role in the Hindi version will also be doing the honors in the Telugu movie while Ravi Teja, according to a little birdie, has agreed to portray the role of Shankardada’s side kick ATM.

Massive Climax of Rakhi

100 women junior artist will be featuring in the climax shot of Krishna Vamsi’s Rahki, which tells the story of a brother who fights the judicial system to avenge his sister’s death. With NTR and Ileana in the lead roles the movie also stars Suhasini in the role of a police officer who is appointed to arrest NTR. The climax shot is presently being canned in Hyderabad. The hordes of women, featuring in the climax, will be protesting against NTR’s arrest and prosecution. The scene is expected to be one of the highlights of the movie.

Ravi Teja as ATM

Though not official as yet, the latest news about the sequel to Shankardada MBBS is that hero Raviteja has been roped in to play the role of ATM, Shankardada’a side kick. Raviteja was offered the role of ATM for the first movie also but due to non availability of dates the role was later portrayed by Srikanth. Word also has it that Raviteja was paid a lump sum for this role.

Jagadam in March

After Arya, director Sukumar took a long break before signing his next film. He teamed up with Devadasu fame Ram for his next film. The movie has been in the making for a long time. The production budget of the movie is said to have crossed 10 crore, far above the potential of the hero and director’s business strength at boxoffice. The movie was originally titled ‘Godava’ and was supposed to release in December itself. But delays in shooting and the heavy CG work in the movie prompted the producers to postpone the movie. Director Sukumar would go abroad for a whole month to monitor the SFX in movie. Director A.S Ravikumar turned an actor and is playing the villain’s role in this movie. Isha Saha is the heroine. The talkie part will be complete by the end of December itself. But the makers do not want to release the movie in the dry period of February, especially when the cricket Worldcup would be going on, hence they opted to release in mid-March.

ClassMates Launched

Producer Sravanthi Ravikishore’s new film, Classmates (a remake of a Malyalam hit by the same name), was formally launched today at Ramanaidu Studios. Sumanth, Sharwanand, Sunil, Ravi Varma, Sada and Kamilini Mukharjee are playing the classmates in the film. Director K Vijayabaskar wields the megaphone. K Vijaybhaskar and Sravathi Ravikishore have teamed up for this film after long time. Together they had given us blockbusters like Nuvvekavali and Nuvvu Naku Nacchavu in the past. “Regular shoot would begin from December 6th. It’s a based on a group of former college students coming for reunion. It’s an entertaining thriller,” producer Ravi Kishore said.

Anavaram Audio Dec 1st

Audio of Pawan Kalyan’s latest film Annavaram is expected to release on 1st of December. Aditya music bought the audio rights of the film. Ramana Gogula composed music. Asin plays female lead as Sandhya (Premiste fame) is doing the sibling of Pawan Kalyan. Bheemineni Srinivasa Rao directed this film. Mega Supergood films banner is producing this film. Annavaram is all set to release on 29th of December.

Deshamuduru for Sankranthi

Though Poori Jagannath announced the Deshamuduru release date well before the start of the shoot as 22nd December, the producers are not hurry to release on the said date as Pawan Kalyan's Annavaram film is to release by December month end.Producers Are planning to release the film by Sankranthi festival.Allu Arjun and Hansika are playing the lead roles.

Sainikudu postponed to Dec 6!

Mahesh Babu’s most awaited film Sainikudu has been postponed from Nov 22 to Dec 6!
The post production work and graphics are going on in full swing at a Chennai studio. Director Gunasekhar is taking his own time over it and does not like to be rushed. The audio of the film has become a sensational hit and the producer feels that it should be given more time to become more popular. Added to that, with the monsoon active all over the state especially in coastal Andhra Pradesh, December is a better time for release. Brushing aside rumours of other films releasing in Nov end and Dec, producer Ashwini Dutt says: “I will release Sainikudu on Dec 6 and is not bothered whichever film releases around that time”.

Suresh Prods - NTR, VV Vinayak

Reliable sources claimed that Aadi duo are getting back again. It has been in news for a while about NTR and VV Vinayak's film after Samba. Chances are high that this project will be produced by none other than Suresh Productions. Earlier Suresh Productions announced a film with NTR and for unknown reasons the project never took off. After hearing the story from VV Vinayak, NTR seemed to have been really impressed and referred the same to Suresh babu. Sources said that Suresh Babu seemed to have given the green signal for this project. If the sources are to be believed, this film will kick off next year.

Hansika in Raviteja-Srinu Vytla film

Hansika seems all poised to be the next big thing in Tollywood. The national award winning child artiste turned heroine, made her debut in Bollywood in a movie titled, 'He' opposite Mithun Chakravarthy's son - Mimoh which is yet to release. She is currently shooting for Desamuduru opposite Allu Arjun, directed by Puri Jagannadh. Bhagwan-Danayya are producing this movie on Universal Media banner, for which Hansika was signed for 25 lakhs. The Bhagwan-Dhanayya next movie is in the combination of Raviteja and Srinu Vytla who made the runaway hit - Venky earlier. The producers reportedly paid her a bomb, making her the 2nd highest paid actress in the market today. Also a few other big filmmakers have approached this new girl to be signed for their movie. Talking about heroine's remunerations, needless to say Ileana D'Cruz leads the pack, having signed M.S Raju's Aata for 65 lakhs.

Dubbing Movies are BANNED

Telugu Film Producers’ Council has unanimously decided to ‘ban’ the films being dubbed into Telugu from other languages. The council has taken this decision to protect the ‘Telugu producers’ who are facing the lack of theatres for their straight films. Though the council didn’t use the word ‘ban’ directly in its press release, it implies that no dubbed film will be exhibited in Andhra Pradesh henceforth. The council has given the producers who have bought the rights of dubbing it in Telugu to register with the council.

The grape vine around Tollywood is always ready looking for something “Khatarnak“. At present it’s Ravi Teja’s “Khatarnak”that is doin the rounds. The latest update is that this movie is a telugu remake of “Main Hoon Na”. This will clearly show that Tollywood is ‘bugged up’ with remakes!!! But according to sources, the stories have a common point, that’s of a late- age student. As you might have got it, Ileana is doing the role of Sushmitha Sen. Unless the movie is released we can’t confirm whether it is the same concept or same movie (in Telugu). But guys, Ileana is gonna look real hot in this character. So stay tuned.Khatarnak is being directed by ‘Amma Rajasekhar of “Ranam” fame. It is being produced by BVSN Prasad. MM Keeravani is giving the tunes.The audio is all set to release in November and the movie will be released in December.

Dasavataram - Ten Roles Mystery

The year-long preparation by one of India's greatest actors is finally over. Today, Kamal Haasan began shooting for Dasavatharam, one of the most talked about films in recent times. For the past year, Haasan has been travelling mainly to the US to perfect the make-up for the film, where he dons 10 get-ups like Lord Mahavishnu himself.As per the available information, Kamal dons the role of an old man of 130, old woman, young lady, and a character named Udar Mani,George Bush.Kamal Haasan will be a Vaishnavite saint at the temple in his first avatar, and acting with him will be the young Asin. Mallika Sherawat is also expected to joins the crew.The music is by Himesh Reshammiya.

Highest Budgeted Movie Of Tollywood

It is a Big deal indeed. Under his own banner Viswa Mitra Creations, NTR as hero, Raja Mouli is directing a movie “Yamadonga”. Even before its release it is going to hit the news with the recent offer from Adlabs.Adlabs have Bollywood’s biggest film lab in Mumbai. It is heard that the company, in which ADAE (Anil Dhiru Bhai Ambani Enterprises) holds 50 per cent shares offered a handsome amount of 18cr for “Yamadonga”. Other details related to the bid are yet be known. Adlabs is one of the biggest publicity houses in India which is also involved in post production work, film printing, and construction of multiplex theatres and recently it forayed into the medium of radio with ‘Big FM’.The movie a Mass Entertainer with 5 heroines.Meera Jasmine and Anushka are all most selected.
