Story
Annavaram (Pawan Kalayan) is a villager living with his sister Varam (Sandhya of Premisthe). The novel part is entire film is set on a Telangana backdrop. Annavaram’s friend is Narasimha (Venu Madhav).Annavaram wants to get his sister married to a city-dweller. Annavaram goes back to his village, meanwhile his childhood friend Narasimha gets visa for Dubai and he has to leave to work there. Annavaram comes to Hyderabad with Narasimha, who is on his way to Dubai. Before leaving, Narasimha along with Annavaram, his sister and brother-in-law visit Golkonda. There in Narasimha gets involved in a tiff with Pooranapul dada and gets killed. Annavaram comes in a pothuraju getup to clean the society.......

After giving a super hit like 'Vikramarkudu' producer ML Kumar Choudary had given his nod to produce 'Don' under the direction Raghava Lawrence, who gave two successive hits like 'Mass' and 'Style' in his direction. Nagarjuna is playing the lead role, while Trisha was supposed to play the female lead. However, it is reliably learnt that she was replaced with Mamata Mohandas due to some unavoidable circumstances. Another interesting point is that Lawrence is also providing music for this flick, wherein Nagarjuna is sporting a different look. After working together in historical films like 'Annamayya and Sriramadasu', Suman is teaming up with Nagarjuna in this mass and action film. The film is most likely to go to sets in January and would be released as a summer gift to the audiences.

The successful Kannada film 'Jogi' is being remade in Telugu as 'Yogi' under the direction of noted director VV Vinayak, with Young Rebel Star Prabhas, Nayanatara in the lead. Produced by K. Ravnidranath Reddy on the banner of Eswari Films the film has mother sentiment in its backdrop and Urvasi Sarada is playing the mother of the hero in this flick. The audio of the film was released into the market recently and is getting a very good response. Ramana Gogula gave melodious tunes to all the songs in the film. Story
Ramakrishna or Rakhi aspires to become railway stationmaster like his father (Chandramohan). Desamuduru not in Sankranthi race?

The buzz in the film industry is that the much touted Puri Jagannadh and Allu Arjun’s combo flick, Desamuduru, has been postponed to January last week. It will not be competing for Sankranthi with other biggies – Yogi and Maharadhi as it was earlier planned. Grapevine has it that Allu Aravind is in favor of postponing the film from Sankranthi to later release. As Annavaram hitting the screens on December 29th, he might have felt not competing with a family member. Although official confirmation has not been made, distributors say it would release on Janauary 29th.

Aarohi Misra opposite Uday Kiran

Teenage model and Femina Miss India 2006 top ten finalists Aarohi Misra is making Telugu debut. She has been cast opposite Uday Kiran in Viyyalavari Kayyalu. The film is produced by Larsco Entertainment that produced Evadi Gola Vadidi and Style. The film’s pooja was performed on December 15th at Larsco’s office. Sentiments rule the Telugu film industry. The combination of Rajamouli and NTR hit the jackpot by delivering industry hit in the form of Simhadri on 9th July of 2003. Story:

Ravitaja plays Daas in this film and is introduced like nobody, even failed in his SSC. This Youngman appears before us with some tantrums, after showing the Don of the place (Pradeep) in search of a trustworthy police constable (PC) to be part of his gang to counter the movements of a police informer (Raja Ravindra) being used by the police officer (Prakashraj) to capture their men. Naturally we guess that Daas is going to be that PC. He is this ‘Khatarnak’ (a dangerous man). Now starts this farcical process of recruiting him, first to get him through SSC exams (a minimum qualification to apply for PC job) and then getting that police job. The way he undergoes these exercises, while craving for girl named ‘Nakshatra’ (Iliyana), he loves, is all nothing but a farce. Once this Khatarnak becomes police constable, what follows is an unending action drama. Biju Menon plays the trainer of Daas and an assistant to the Don.

Rambha is doing an item number for 'Desa Muduru' directed by Puri Jagannath and produced by Bhagawan and Danayya under the banner ‘Universal Media’ with Stylish Star Allu Arjun and Hansika Muthwal in the lead. It is reliably learnt that the shooting of this item song would be held at a specially erected set in Ramanaidu Cine Village at Nanakramguda in Hyderabad. The audio of the film will hit the market on December 24. Chakri has provided melodious tunes for this flick. The film would be released on January 12 as Sankranthi gift.

Story

If you want to know the story first, it can be narrated in two sentences. A student leader by name Siddharth (Mahesh) lunches a tirade against the present day politicians and demands that the nation should be handed over to the youth, who will sure cleanse it of all sorts of corruption and Rowdism and gonads and give people clean administration. For that purpose he kidnaps the bride Varalakshmi (Trisha) who was about to be married to the Home minister, Pappu Yadav, and blackmails the minister to undo all the wrongs he has done to his people if he wanted his bride back.

Meher Ramesh, Puri Jagannadh’s chief script consultant, who has co written the script for the Mahesh Babu- Ileana starrer Pokiri directed by Puri Jagannadh, will be debuting as a director in the Telugu Film industry. Meher, who acted as Mahesh Babu’s friend in the ill fated Bobby, has already directed two Kannada movies Veera Kannadiga and Ajay, (both remakes of Andhrudu and Okkadu, respectively) will be directing his first Telugu movie, titled Kantri, produced by Puri Jagannadh’s Vaishno Academy. Hero Allu Arjun is apparently being considered for the lead role. Kantri is still in the scripting stage and will be launched in January.

Vidya Balan to star in Shankardada2

The second installment of Shankardada, again to star Chiranjeevi in the lead, has been named as Shankardada Zindabad. Word, till now, was that Prabhu Deva has been roped in direct this comedy flick which will be the remake of the hit Sanjay Dutt starrer Hindi movie Lage Raho Munna Bhai. Apparently Vidya Balan , who played the lead role in the Hindi version will also be doing the honors in the Telugu movie while Ravi Teja, according to a little birdie, has agreed to portray the role of Shankardada’s side kick ATM.

Massive Climax of Rakhi

100 women junior artist will be featuring in the climax shot of Krishna Vamsi’s Rahki, which tells the story of a brother who fights the judicial system to avenge his sister’s death. With NTR and Ileana in the lead roles the movie also stars Suhasini in the role of a police officer who is appointed to arrest NTR. The climax shot is presently being canned in Hyderabad. The hordes of women, featuring in the climax, will be protesting against NTR’s arrest and prosecution. The scene is expected to be one of the highlights of the movie.

Though not official as yet, the latest news about the sequel to Shankardada MBBS is that hero Raviteja has been roped in to play the role of ATM, Shankardada’a side kick. Raviteja was offered the role of ATM for the first movie also but due to non availability of dates the role was later portrayed by Srikanth. Word also has it that Raviteja was paid a lump sum for this role.

Jagadam in March

After Arya, director Sukumar took a long break before signing his next film. He teamed up with Devadasu fame Ram for his next film. The movie has been in the making for a long time. The production budget of the movie is said to have crossed 10 crore, far above the potential of the hero and director’s business strength at boxoffice. The movie was originally titled ‘Godava’ and was supposed to release in December itself. But delays in shooting and the heavy CG work in the movie prompted the producers to postpone the movie. Director Sukumar would go abroad for a whole month to monitor the SFX in movie. Director A.S Ravikumar turned an actor and is playing the villain’s role in this movie. Isha Saha is the heroine. The talkie part will be complete by the end of December itself. But the makers do not want to release the movie in the dry period of February, especially when the cricket Worldcup would be going on, hence they opted to release in mid-March.

Producer Sravanthi Ravikishore’s new film, Classmates (a remake of a Malyalam hit by the same name), was formally launched today at Ramanaidu Studios. Sumanth, Sharwanand, Sunil, Ravi Varma, Sada and Kamilini Mukharjee are playing the classmates in the film. Director K Vijayabaskar wields the megaphone. K Vijaybhaskar and Sravathi Ravikishore have teamed up for this film after long time. Together they had given us blockbusters like Nuvvekavali and Nuvvu Naku Nacchavu in the past. “Regular shoot would begin from December 6th. It’s a based on a group of former college students coming for reunion. It’s an entertaining thriller,” producer Ravi Kishore said.
